Group Writing over at Rishijar
I found this particular group writing project over at Rishijar. I think it’s quite an interesting group writing project as the topic that is to be written about seems like something i would have posted about anyway. In any case, the topic is ” How I see my blog after one year from today“.
Knowing that this is a blog that i am using to test out various methods of generating traffic and attention, I would say that this site will be filled with insightful articles that would be thought provoking so as to gain more out of these great linkbaits. As I interact more each day within the blogosphere, I would think that this blog, being my online platform would allow me to make many more friends online and be able to participant in many more ventures (be it for monetary gains or simply for fun)
One year from now, This blog will look very different. I have stated my intend to learn CSS so that I can re-design my blog (Since I have not won any blog makeover, I’ll have to take charge and do it myself). I’m studiously learning CSS through books I borrow from the library and through online tutorials. I believe 1 year from now, my readers will see a different blog theme from me.
I am already dominating Google for my name “Jerry Khoo”. I hope one year from now, the keyword Jerry Khoo will be dominated by my blog so much so that the entire page of Google Page 1 will be filled with results from my blog. How’s that for an ego trip?

Have you been swindled online recently?
So it has been the popular post that Darin CC has been cheating a lot of people with his blog contest. Picking popular blogs to win so as to gain the additional baklink that these blogs afford. John Cow has come out lashing Darin for his failure to deliver on his promise of the prize that Mr John Cow has won. The likes of Contest Beat and Ms Danielle are also swimming in the swindled pool.
The funny thing about Darin CC is that he is willing to pay the $75 bucks for John Cows button ads and the same ads on John Chow’s for $500 bucks (and some other blogs if I remember correctly) but yet he wants to skim on fulfilling his promise of the prizes that he so boldly advertised as top prizes which cost less than the ads? What gives? Is his reputation worth so little? Or is he trying to warn his potential customers that that is the level of work that they should expect from him when they engage his service?
On the other hand, I had been on the other side of the coin. I ran a contest when I first started this blog and gave away $30 USD to the eventual winner on the understanding that the winner would fulfill his part of the bargain on announcing his winnings on his blog so that I can proof to my readers that I did indeed give away the prize money but the winner collected the money and refused to fulfill his end of the bargain.
Well, it goes to show that even on the online world, we have to be careful about who we deal with, especially when it comes to deals that involved money. Many a times, we bloggers are trusting people and expect others to be like us as well. This is not really true as we can see the likes of Darin CC and http://j-ne.ws/ who are not trustworthy enough to fulfill their end of the bargain. So the lesson learn is, whatever we do, better go in with our eyes open.

Ultimate Wealth Package Review
“Jobless Homemaker making lots of money online with a Proven System?“
This was the paid ad that often show up when I do a search on Google. That headline did grab my attention. That was until I click on the link to find that it actually brought me to another “Make Money Quick” site called “The Ultimate Wealth Package”
As usual, the pitch about the package was that it will return your investment many folds if you just subscribe to the package and use the system to setup your wealth package. And as usual, as with many copywriting on other sites, there are seemingly many “evidence” that many others are actually making lots of money online with their system and giving the author of the system many thanks for the life changing system to make money online. (Some of these evidence can be “Photoshoped” if you know what I mean)
So what is the system all about? To put it in a simplistic form, it is about using the author’s website to setup another website to promote this package as an affiliate and earning the affiliate fees. The author of the system makes it easy for anyone (even beginners) by providing even the service for web hosting (for a fee) and ready made landing pages.
Is it really that simple? Will I actually make money from this system?
Let’s hear the long version of this. What this entails is that other than setting up the web site, you would still need to promote your website to get the traffic for the affiliate sales.
So what the system proposes is that you use either Google Adsense or Overture to target your region’s customers who are interested in making money (So you do see some paid Google ads claiming themselves to be some aunties somewhere making money purely from this system).
Let’s say 1-3% of your traffic that you attract via your paid ads do purchase the system, you can expect to make e.g. 3% of traffic x affiliate fees. So if your cost of advertising on Google or Overture is still lower than the affiliate fees, you can expect to earn some profit. I’m not sure of the outrageous declaration of earning $10,000 every month though.
So is the system any good?
What I find of value in the purchase of this system is that there are additional bonuses to the said systems. In fact, there is an ever growing “Library” of resources of E-Books that members can get to download. This library is filled with E-books that cover the various ways of making money on the Internet as well as the various ways to market your site and other stuff devoted to money making online.
I would say that you would be able to purchase these E-books via EBay and other means at a value of USD$99 or more (though on the web site, the claim was that these e-books would have cost several thousand dollars for the collection), plus, you would have to hunt all over for these e-books, which makes the effort more tedious. So I would say, paying to join the system purely for the resource library is good enough in itself.
My Recommendation:
So what is my recommendation on this “Make Money Online” Package? The original package for the system is at a cool USD$99 dollars. Nowadays, on the website itself, there are some discount coupons (there is a 50% discount recently, which makes the package USD$49.50). I would say if the price drops below USD$50 with the discount coupons, it is a worth while buy to join the system PURELY for the learning opportunities and the E-books that are offered
I look at it from this perspective. If I was to get a good best seller from Amazon.com, each book can easily cost me USD$50. What I’m getting from the package is about 100+ Ebooks that can educate me about making money on the Internet. So to me, it would be money well spend and a good investment in knowledge. It’s your own decision to see if you are interested enough in making money on the Internet to make a purchase.
If you do follow what the system says and setup some website to sell as an affiliate, you might make back your investment over a period of time depending on how good a marketing person you are. Just in case, you join the system and want to setup the web site as well, my recommendation is to take the web site files (landing page) and set it up using some commercial host as it would be cheaper. Click Here to go to “The Ultimate Wealth Package”
I think the knowledge gained from reading the e-books would probably help you in your experiment in Money Making on the Internet as it gives you a very good foundation of all things related to making money on the Internet.
